How I transformed this chair for under $50!

Hi giys! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted and I’m so sorry. I have been crazy with the show I did and am so glad to be back to a semi normal routine.

So so I have started a new role in the real estate field and I work from home now and needed to ipgrade my desk chair. Sitting on the one wooden one was getting a little “hard” to do. (See what I did there) Anyway, silly humor aside, I wanted to find a cool chair with a cushion bottom. So I was on the FB Marketplace browsing and came across a lady with some chairs. They were all different but one stood out to me!

I loved it and knew I could make it work. The seller was asking $40 for the chair but I was able to talk her down to $35. Not my best negotiating moment but I wasn’t pleased.

i made the trip to her home to pick the chair up and it was in great shape. I loaded it up and my little and I made what seems like our daily trip to Hobby Lobby. I found some great fabric on sale and wanted to add a little more cushion to the seat to allow for extra padding. So I grabbed the 3 inch 12x15 padding and found the floral fabric I had invisioned and we made it out of Hobby Lobby for u set $20! I had to grab a few other small items as the fabric was $9.99 but 30% off making it $6.66 and the cushion was $7.99 but I used that 40% coupon to make the cushion $4.79. Whoop whoop!

I added a Valspar white paint to the chair as I wanted it to pop and help lighten up the room. I then removed the old cushion from the chair and added the foam and fabric to make the new seat. Put the two back together and it was all done! I‘ve gotten the chair redo down pretty well now after the last few years doing furniture rehabs so the project took me about 45 minutes to complete. Here is the finished product- What do you think?
