Cozy living room with a little pop!

Our family room was a tough one for me. We (or should I say I, because I tend to talk my husband into it) have a habit of buying a new couch each time we move. So I thought this couch was going to fit the space just right but I didn't take into account the high back it had. So I was a little disappointed on delivery day, but I did love the couch itself. So we had the couch laid out a few different ways but this ended up being a great placement for it.

My husband made this awesome coffee table for me because I was tired of the ottoman being our coffee table. Our kids always like to play where I am so we needed a place to put some toys and hide them easily. He did such an awesome job with this pallet coffee table (Dont worry- I will do a post on it soon).

The front door color is my absolute FAVORITE! I knew I wanted to add a hint of color into this room and I always tend to gravitate towards blues. The white sheer curtains help allow all of the natural light from the front of the home to flow freely through the home.

The picture above the couch was a Hobby Lobby find and I fell in love with it. The white frame helps tie in the white curtains and trim with the kids table and media console. This was the heart of our home and I loved how the finished product turned out.
