The Master Suite-

So this room is where the magic happens....and I mean the magic that comes from that desk in the corner. The desk has been through a lot, good financial times, some tight financial times and lots and lots of brainstorming sessions. The Master Suite is where we would retreat each evening after the kids went to bed to unwind from the day.

The desk is a bit lonely now in our new home as it has a new spot in the living room. We have a bar in the new home and it tends to get the usage that the desk once received. In fact, the idea for this blog happened at the new bar as well as the idea for the new Etsy shop. (I will share about the Etsy shop soon!)

Anyway, there are some other great features in our old Master. We wanted to add some color to the room so that navy accent wall was a great success. We matched the color to our master bathroom and it tied the two rooms together very well.

The chest at the end of our bed is one of my all time favorite finds. Its an old shipping and hauling container for guns (or so thats what I think). I stained it, cut off the handles because they were not in great shape and threw some legs on it and VOILA- a container turned filing cabinet.

Now you see that fish tank over there in the corner, well, being the good wife that I am, we had TWO fish tanks in our bedroom. That small tank in the corner is where the babies from the big fish in the big tank were held. Maybe one day I will share the photo from the other angle showing the big tank....but don't count on it. No, in all seriousness I do enjoy seeing the fish as they are peaceful to watch but they certainly clash with my design style. Maybe one day we will get my dad to build us a cool stand that will flow a little better with my farmhouse style.

Our bed is a Wayfair find and the duvet cover we have had for years! I have tried to replace it but I just can't find anything that I like any better. So it will stay around a while longer. The end table on the right is actually from my childhood. I've had it a while and its been a few colors. I always liked it because of the neat edging it has.

Well, there you have it folks, The Master Suite and the many many things it holds, well held. What do you think of the navy blue wall? What about the fish tank? ;)
