Moving "mountains"....

If your house is anything like mine, we tend to accumulate "mountains" of laundry. Between my husband and I and our two kiddos, we can really go through some spin cycles. (See what I did there...) ;) Seriously though, we needed a nice functioning laundry room.

When I was planning out this room I knew I wanted to stay away from wire shelving. I just don't really care for it much and it's pretty tough to make it look "pretty". So we found these two cabinets and they were perfect. Just what we needed to hide the many items we tend to keep in the laundry area.

I found this sign at World Market and while it was around $50 it was so cute so I had to bring it home. The picture doesn't show it, but I found a great long comfy floor mat that matched the cabinet color just right. It was the type of mat that helped give support while standing for a long period of time, and well, with all those "mountains" I needed some support.

I absolutely LOVED our washer and dryer. When we sold the home we left them for the new owners but these have been the best washer/dryer combo we've owned to date. They are LG brand which was new for us but they worked out great.

As you see in this picture, I did decorate the top of the cabinets just a little. I knew I needed to add a little something to help give the room something extra.
