In the south we tend to love our Crape (or Crepe) Myrtle trees and these two were some of the best I've seen. The original owner planted these trees about 5 years ago or so and we were really glad they did. The backyard was a major selling point for us when we purchased the home.

One thing that was there that isn't now was a not-so-great pergola. We think a not-so-handy, handy man may have built it but the posts had rotted and the hammock we had almost made the whole thing come-a-crashing down. We made the wise choice to remove it and it opened up the space so much. We did miss having the hammock out there but for our safety, it was the wise choice.
The brick paver patio was also installed by a previous owner. It was nice and was a great size so we could divide the space up some with the lounging area and dining area. We found the large spool and I knew I wanted to use it as our outside dining table. The metal chairs I found at Target on clearance for $20 each! Major win! The coffee table for the sitting area was built by my husband and he did an awesome job. I added to it with the whitewash style paint and the compass added to the space.
We spent just about every afternoon or so out here enjoying the fresh air under those great trees!
What is your favorite type of tree? How do you spell Crape Myrtle? With the 'A' or 'E'. I guess it is kinda the same as spelling grey... or is it gray?
