My brave boy

My son is a rising Kindergarten (people say that right? ;) ) and when it was time for him to get a "big boy" bed a few years back he really wanted a bunk bed. I wasn't sold on the idea quiet yet so we told him that he could get one, one day, when I knew he wouldn't fall off the top bunk. So my dad built him a super cool wooden full size bed that was nice and low to the ground, you know, just in case.

When he got a little older, it was time to get that promised bunk bed. So I found this one on Wayfair and it was very reasonable so I gave it a try. The bed arrived and man, I was hooked. Wayfair is now my go-to and in fact all of our beds are from Wayfair now, actually, I may have mentioned that earlier in my post about our Master Suite. Anyway, it was great and he LOVED it! He felt so grown up and couldn't wait to sleep on the top bunk. He tends to flip flop from sleeping on the top to sleeping on the bottom and so on.
That blue dresser you see on the right side of the photo is an old dresser of mine. When we found out we were pregnant with our boy I knew I wanted to use it for his room. That started my obsession with furniture rehab. I'll do a post on that one day soon and share some of my secrets.
The little table you see with the black chair is an old end table that we turned into a Lego table. He loves it and it was perfect because it has a neat shelf that holds a basket for all the extra Legos.
His comforters are a Target find and he decided he wanted the top and bottom to match so we went with it. His room is pretty simple. He does have some neat wall decor that isn't pictured and we made a cool little college wall for it.
So any of you readers have kiddos who asked for a bunk bed? Did you cave? If so, were you worried like I was?
