Our little princess-

How's that old saying go..."little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice"....yea I think that's it. Well our little girl sure fits that just perfectly. She's a sweet heart and has just enough spice to be tough. Her room fit her very well also.

One thing I almost always do is something other people may think is a bit odd but I like to take the doors off the closets. I feel like it opens up the room and I just love seeing her wardrobe on display. I also put the kids toy chest in her closet which gave them floor space to get all those fun toys out to play and drag across the hall to her big brothers room.

Again, we added that pop of color with the accent wall. When I was on the hunt for her comforter I needed it to match that salmon color and this one stood out to me. I loved the bird cases that the peacocks are standing on because I had a birdcage in her room on the dresser which you can see on the very corner of the photo. Her bed is again a Wayfair find and the chair a TJ Maxx find. The curtain is a nice blackout curtain from Target. We decided not to put blinds on her window because of the curtain.

The shelf above her bed is a simple build we did with a piece of pallet wood and 2 L hooks. The light above the grey chair is something my husband threw together. We had a lamp that I really didn't need any longer. He got to looking it over and realized he could swap the electrical cord out of it and flip it over. SAY WHAT! I was thrilled. We had a whole new light fixture and it cost us nothing and was so fun. We attached the cord to a hook and hung it on another pallet piece and DONE! So cute and was easy for hubby to transform.

What do you think about the doorless closet?
