Closing the door on Red Hook-

When it came time to sell our home and knowing we had put so much tender love and care into it, it was a little rough on us. It was also hard on us because of the great friends our son and we had made- next door and up the street. Living in a neighborhood was something that we always thought we wanted, especially with young children.

We talked it over for a while and since the market was doing so well we decided its was time to move on. We bought this home with the intension of selling it to make a decent profit after our investment in doing all the things to it.

So I made the MLS listing as I always do with a listing, made the photography appointment and waited a few days. Once we received the photos back of the home I would make the listing active. Well, after being active for a few minutes the calls came rolling in. To give you a little back story, the market in the area we lived in was VERY limited with the number of homes available for sale compared to the active buyers and at the price point of our home there were TONS of buyers waiting for homes like ours to go "live" as we call it. We were thrilled to see that within 4 hours of being active on MLS our house was receiving an offer!

Moving day came and we were scrambling and rushing and packing and running around, have I mentioned that I HATE moving! With too small children it wasn't very fun either. Well, except for all the fun box forts we made in the living room, those were some interesting adventures! :)

How do you feel about moving? Love it, hate it? Do you hire MOVERS?!? (Like we should have done!)
