In a recent post I believe I mentioned our pallet coffee table. Well, let me tell you guys a little about it. When we were working on the pallet accent wall we ended up with a lot of extra pieces. Of course I did my normal Pinterst search and we decided to try and make a coffee table.

We had a cushioned ottoman that went with our couch and I really liked it, well the kids did because they used it as their preferred seating and climbing spot but it had no storage. I had the kids toy chest in our living room and I really wanted to be able to move it to the kids rooms to get the clutter out of the living room.

My husband got to work on this coffee table and I assisted with the planning. We decided to just kinda wing it and didn't have a great plan laid out which I actually prefer. For anyone who knows me I normally like to plan every detail out to the minute and I am a major routine person but when it comes to my creative side, I normally just learn as I go.

Hours went on and finally, I mean like FINALLY, we had something put together. We decided to put it on wheels so we could move it around the living room fairly easily and I'm so glad we did. Ok, so a little secret to tell. We actually built two of these coffee tables. The first one we actually use on our patio now because when we completed it and had it in the living room, it wasn't quiet tall enough. We didn't really factor in the heigh of the piece very well so we luckily had enough wood to make another!

We were happy that we had saved some scrap wood for a job my dad had just completed because we actually ended up using a few pieces of it to add the right height this time around. Here is the finished product- What do you think?
